In April, I attended a friend's wedding at St Andrew's Street Baptist Church
in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. The bride and groom are both employed at Cambridge University Press
but I didn't quite have the time this trip to explore at length. I was
guided to Heffers Bookshop
, (old school heaven) and strolled by King's College Chapel, where I got to see--- in person--- every album cover for every classical CD featuring English choral music.
I am a cowardly photographer. I haven't learned to photograph strangers boldly and candidly and get those amazing "people" photos the professionals take. But this young guy was so beautiful, sitting across from me on the train travelling between Cambridge and London, I couldn't resist surreptitiously taking his picture. Since he didn't notice, perhaps I have a future in private investigation after all.
This year, I stayed at The Morgan Hotel
which is in the heart of Bloomsbury and literally right around the corner from The British Museum. 2017 was my seventh trip to London and I still
had never seen it, so there was no excuse this time around. It would literally take weeks to scratch the surface, so I kept to Ancient Greece and loved it.
